For the 349th CSH the unit was mobilized at the beginning of January of 2004 in support of Operation Noble Eagle. The unit was assign to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Personnel assign to the unit was awarded the following after deployment: excluding individual personal awards: National Defense Service Medal Armed Forces Reserve Ribbon with "M" device. (M for Mobilized) Global War on Terrorism Service Ribbon While there Landstuhl was awarded the "Army Superior Unit Award". Time frame of the award was from 2001 to 2004. Personnel assign to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center within those time frames were authorized to permanently wear the "Army Superior Unit Award" Personnel assign after 2004 can only wear the ASUA temporarily while assigned to Landstuhl.
